Orange Sky Australia is committed to providing access to clean clothes, warm showers and genuine, non-judgemental conversation for all Australians. In remote communities, access to laundry services can be limited and cost prohibitive.
Bidyadanga is a remote community in the Kimberley Coast region of Western Australia. Orange Sky’s Bidyadanga service works alongside the community to build impact through free laundry facilities, bedding, local employment and local partnerships.
Under our collaborative partnership model, Orange Sky’s Bidyadanga service is made possible by our community partner Bidyadanga Aboriginal Community La Grange Inc (BACLG). We are grateful to the Traditional Custodians – Karajarri people – our community partner, BACLG, and Bidyadanga residents for allowing Orange Sky to provide the community with a safe and respectful place for laundry and connection.
Our Remote Community Trailer brings essential laundry facilities to remote areas, ensuring clean clothes, clean bedding and a safe space for connection. This facility helps us reach even the most isolated communities, providing dignity and support to those who need it most. Equipped with three washers, three dryers and solar power, the trailer is designed for easy use and is a unique and vital part of our mission to positively connect communities, no matter where they are.
