Orange Sky Australia is committed to providing access to clean clothes, warm showers and genuine, non-judgemental conversation for all Australians. In remote communities, access to laundry services can be limited and cost prohibitive.
Coen is a small town located in the central Cape York Peninsula region of Far North Queensland, Australia – located 550kms North of Cairns. Orange Sky’s Coen service works alongside the community to build impact through free laundry facilities, local employment and local partnerships.
Under our collaborative partnership model, Orange Sky’s Coen service is made possible by our community partner Coen Regional Aboriginal Corporation. We are grateful to the Traditional Custodians – the Kaanju, Lama Lama, Ayapathu, Umpila, Wik-Mungkan, and Olkolo peoples – our community partner, Coen Regional Aboriginal Corporation, and Coen residents for allowing Orange Sky to provide the community with a safe and respectful place for laundry and connection.
Our Remote Vehicle 3.0 (RV3.2) brings essential laundry services to remote Australian communities. Designed for rugged conditions, it features three washers and Waru Dryers, and uses advanced solar technology to enhance service reach effectively.
