Our weekly impact in the Gold Coast

Orange Sky’s Gold Coast van supports one of the largest regions in Australia

Orange Sky Gold Coast launched in January 2016, providing the community with access to free laundry and genuine conversation.

With the support of volunteers and some amazing local service providers, laundry van ‘Caz’ and the Set Free Pod play an important role in positively connecting the community by providing a place for everyone to feel welcome and connected.

Caz and the Set Free pod service one of the most wide-spread locations; travelling all the way from Coolangatta up to Nerang and Biggera Waters!

We have amazing volunteers all across the country, but our Gold Coast volunteers did some pretty special work over the 2018 Commonwealth Games. They worked tirelessly to maintain as many services as possible during the Games and ensure that our friends had access to clean laundry and conversation. The Minister for Housing and Public Works, Hon Mick de Brenni presented Orange Sky with a certificate of appreciation for our efforts along with a framed artwork from the same artist who designed the medals; Delvene Cockatoo-Collins.
