Orange Sky Australia is committed to providing access to clean clothes, warm showers and genuine, non-judgemental conversation for all Australians. In remote communities, access to laundry services can be limited and cost prohibitive.
Kalkaringi and Daguragu are small towns in the Northern Territory, Australia, located about 480 km southwest of Katherine. Orange Sky’s Kalkaringi and Daguragu service works alongside the community to build impact through free laundry facilities, local employment and local partnerships.
Under our collaborative partnership model, Orange Sky’s Kalkaringi and Daguragu service is made possible by our community partner Katherine West Health Board and funders Aboriginal Investment Group NT. We are grateful to the Traditional Custodians – the Gurindji people – our community partner, and Kalkaringi and Daguragu residents for allowing Orange Sky to provide the community with a safe and respectful place for laundry and connection.
Our Remote Vehicle 3.0 (RV3.2) brings essential laundry services to remote Australian communities. Designed for rugged conditions, it features three washers and Waru Dryers, and uses advanced solar technology to enhance service reach effectively.
