Orange Sky Australia is committed to providing access to clean clothes, warm showers and genuine, non-judgemental conversation for all Australians. In remote communities, access to laundry services can be limited and cost prohibitive.
Maningrida is located in the heart of Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, at the mouth of the Liverpool River. Traditionally named, ‘Manayingkarírra’, meaning “the place where the ancestral totemic beings changed shape”. Orange Sky’s Maningrida service works alongside the community to build impact through free laundry, local employment and local partnerships.
Under our collaborative partnership model, Orange Sky’s Maningrida service is made possible by our community partner Mala’la Aboriginal Health Service. We are grateful to the Traditional Custodians – Kunibídji people – our community partner, and Maningrida residents for allowing Orange Sky to provide the community with a safe and respectful place for laundry and connection.
Our Remote Vehicle 3.0 (RV3.0) brings essential laundry services to remote Australian communities. Designed for rugged conditions, it features three washers and Waru Dryers, and uses advanced solar technology to enhance service reach effectively.

Our laundry pods are static, standalone structures that remain at a location for an extended period. Each pod is equipped with two washing machines, two dryers and six orange chairs.
