Orange Sky Australia is committed to providing access to clean clothes, warm showers and genuine, non-judgemental conversation for all Australians. In remote communities, access to laundry services can be limited and cost prohibitive.
NganmarriyangaPronounced nyan-mah-ree-an-ga, a remote community 400 kilometres southeast of Darwin, Northern Territory. Orange Sky’s Nganmarriyanga service works alongside the community to build impact through free laundry, local employment and local partnerships.
Under our collaborative partnership model, Orange Sky’s Nganmarriyanga service is made possible by our community partner Thamarrurr Development Corporation (TDC). We are grateful to the Traditional Custodians, our community partner, and Nganmarriyanga residents for allowing Orange Sky to provide the community with a safe and respectful place for laundry and connection.
Our laundry pods are static, standalone structures that remain at a location for an extended period. Each pod is equipped with two washing machines, two dryers and six orange chairs.
