Palm Island, sometimes referred to as ‘Bwgcolman’, meaning ‘one people from many groups’, is an island off the coast of Townsville in North Queensland. Orange Sky’s Palm Island service works alongside the community to build impact through free laundry, local employment and local partnerships.
We are grateful to the Traditional Custodians – Manbarra people – our community partners, and Palm Island residents for allowing Orange Sky to provide the community with a safe and respectful place for laundry and connection.
Our Remote Vehicle 3.0 (RV3.0) brings essential laundry services to remote Australian communities. Designed for rugged conditions, it features three washers and Waru Dryers, and uses advanced solar technology to enhance service reach effectively.
