Orange Sky proudly opened the doors to an exciting new venture in 2022, our first ever Social Impact Laundromat! You can’t miss the bright orange shop front located in North Adelaide, at 80 Melbourne Street.

For many, ‘Orange Sky’ is synonymous with our mobile orange laundry vans. We wanted to give something new (without wheels) a crack – a paid laundromat that funds the service for friends doing it tough.

The Melbourne St Laundromat has been a beloved staple of the North Adelaide community, washing for local residents and businesses for almost two decades. Orange Sky jumped in to upgrade the space and offer a new type of service – laundry with positive impact! Funds from each wash and dry, support friends experiencing homelessness and hardship. That means supporters using the laundromat are providing important funds that provide access to free clean laundry and warm showers across Australia.

Our laundry van in Adelaide, Splasher, continues to support people doing it tough. Innovation is part of our DNA at Orange Sky and continues to be the driving force behind our goal to triple our impact and help 40,000 people experiencing homelessness by 2025.

The Adelaide Laundromat is located on Kaurna land, wrapped between the incredible Torrens River. We pay our deepest respects to the millions of footsteps, stories and connections that have existed on these lands. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners that have come before us, those who are with us and those who are yet to come.
