TWO GUYS, A VAN, AND A CRAZY IDEA
In October 2014, two best mates had a crazy idea to put two washing machines and two dryers in the back of a van, to wash and dry clothes for free. Nicholas Marchesi and Lucas Patchett, awarded the 2016 Young Australians of the Year and the 2020 Order of Australia Medal, founded Orange Sky – a world-first, free mobile laundry and shower service for people experiencing homelessness.
Since starting in 2014, Nic and Lucas have shared the Orange Sky story with people all across the world. Some partners include: QBE, Google, REA, oOh! Media, IAG, Tourism Australia, Harcourts, NAB and Veolia.
Orange Sky’s mission is to positively connect communities, and an important part of that is telling our story and spreading awareness through the power of a conversation. Partner with us for a speaking event today and help us continue to support the over 116,000 Australian’s experiencing homelessness.
Choose from three topics and invite Nic & Lucas to present to your staff, customers and clients.
