At Orange Sky, we strongly believe in the power of stories to inspire and bring us together. We offer speaking opportunities to share our experiences and the impactful stories of people who use our services. This helps connect people with our mission and build a stronger community.
Our speakers, including our Co-Founders and dedicated volunteers, help build lasting connections with communities. These engagements not only raise awareness, but also encourage active participation and support.
We offer two speaking engagement options to hear more about the story and work of Orange Sky. Our Co-Founders, Nic Marchesi and Lucas Patchett are available as experienced keynote speakers, bringing insights, inspiration and innovative ideas through powerful storytelling. Alternatively, connect with our mission through a local Orange Sky volunteer to share Orange Sky’s story and bring their own personal experiences from their volunteer journey with us.
In 2014, two mates had a world-first idea – providing a free mobile laundry service for people experiencing homelessness. On a mission to improve hygiene standards, they stumbled on something much more significant – the power of a conversation.
Our founders’ speaking fees directly contribute to the work of Orange Sky and helping Australians experiencing homelessness and hardship.

We aim to provide a safe and comfortable space for people who use our services, and as such we are unable to offer large group visits or group volunteering.
We prefer that cheque acceptance and photo opportunities happen outside of our shift times, so we can continue to provide a comfortable space for the people who use our service. Please get in touch with the team to organise an appropriate time and location.
Our highest priority is to ensure our vans are out supporting the community, however, if a van is available to attend between our scheduled shifts we may be able to organise this. As we receive loads of these requests, please note that our team aim to align van visits with activities supporting or fundraising for Orange Sky’s work.
