Orange Sky Australia is committed to providing access to clean clothes, warm showers and genuine, non-judgemental conversation for all Australians. In remote communities, access to laundry services can be limited and cost prohibitive. To support this, Orange Sky works alongside remote communities to build impact through free laundry facilities, local employment and local partnerships.
In June 2024, Orange Sky launched its thirteenth remote community, Kununurra.
Kununurra is a town in far northern Western Australia located at the eastern region of the Kimberley, approximately 45 kilometres from the border of the Northern Territory.
Orange Sky was welcomed into the community by our service partner Job Pathways who we are proud to work alongside supporting the operations of our remote laundry truck and supplying employment opportunities to local community members.
Orange Sky acknowledges and pays respects to the Traditional Owners of Kununurra, the Miriwoong Gajerrong people. We are honoured to play a role in supporting health and social outcomes within Kununurra.
Orange Sky in Kununurra
