The pilot episode of The F Word ties up a ten year old loose end, as Nic and Lucas attempt to track down Orange Sky’s first friend, Jordan. From a moving chat with Jordan’s sister to a hopeful reconnection, Thanks For Not Taking Advantage Of My Brother explores the phenomenal butterfly effect of just one load of laundry, for one person, 10 years ago.

“When you walk around the streets, you’re already paranoid enough about being homeless. And then with clean clothes, a shave and a shower, it just makes you feel so much better. You, sort of, can smile. You don’t have to look at the ground and keep walking.”

About Jordan

“I had no money for food, I had no money for laundry services to clean my clothes. I’d always prided myself on wearing clean clothes, I had no idea what I was going to do.”

So, when Orange Sky was just a van equipped with two (temperamental) washing machines, Jordan was the first to step forward, seeking the comfort of clean clothes. Nic, Lucas and the whole Orange Sky team are eternally grateful for Jordan’s trust and, above all, are humbled to reconnect with the friend that started it all.
