Orange Sky Australia is committed to providing access to clean clothes, warm showers and genuine, non-judgemental conversation for all Australians. In remote communities, access to laundry services can be limited and cost prohibitive. To support this, Orange Sky works alongside remote communities to build impact through free laundry, local employment and local partnerships.

Our weekly impact in Wadeye

Located in the Northern Territory’s Western top end, Wadeye is home to Orange Sky’s fourth remote communities service, launching our laundry truck in September 2021.

Wadeye is one of Northern Territory’s largest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities, home to a population of 3,000 people. Orange Sky pays respects to the Kardu Yek Diminin peoples, Traditional Owners of Wadeye, along with residents from all local 20 clan groups. Orange Sky is grateful to be providing our services in Wadeye’s culturally abundant and diverse community alongside our partner, Thamarrurr Development Corporation (TDC).
