Orange Sky Australia is committed to providing access to clean clothes, warm showers and genuine, non-judgemental conversation for all Australians. In remote communities, access to laundry services can be limited and cost prohibitive.
Mparntwe (Alice Springs), part of the red centre of Australia, is now home to Orange Sky’s fifteenth remote service. Orange Sky’s Alice Springs service works alongside the community to build impact through free laundry facilities, local employment and local partnerships.
Under our collaborative partnership model, Orange Sky’s Alice Springs service is made possible by generous funding from The Snow Foundation and our community partner Children’s Ground.
We are grateful to the Traditional Custodians – the Arrernte people, our community partners, and Alice Springs residents for allowing Orange Sky to provide the community with a safe and respectful place for laundry and connection.
Our Remote Vehicle 3.0 (RV3.0) brings essential laundry services to remote Australian communities. Designed for rugged conditions, it features three washers and Waru Dryers and uses advanced solar technology to cut electrical use by up to 80%, enhancing service reach effectively.
